Lets start off my assuming I will be alive in the year 202 and teaching. So in 2020, roughly 10 years from now, I feel the classroom will be completely enveloped in technology. They will have document cameras and digital projectors as well as a computer for each student in the room. Technology will be an important aspect in the education of tomorrow's children and I will use it to keep the education in a relevant context.
Physically, my room will be alive. Walls will be adorned with coverings that bring them to life and draw students into a learning environment.

my digital story
Well, my digital story had been put on hold recently since the backlight on my screen popped... However, I have been thinking about my story topic and story line in the mean time. So far I have my topic being "A Day Without Math." I am looking to show how the world would be for a day if math was not there and understood. A few images I am going to incorporate into my video are things like a blank clock since we will not be able to tell time with no numbers on the clock. Internet security would be non-existant as would be credit cards and buildings would crumble, etc.
As for any music to accompany the video, I am at a loss. I am leaning towards no music and only narration, but that remains to be seen

First ever blog post. zomg lol jk
Well this year has been an interesting one. I have had good times, bad times, hard times, fun times and memorable times. Yet looking back at them all I would have to say that what stands out most was seeing some of my kids pull it together at the end of the year and acing their final. One student in particular who was a C/D student near the first semester mark started coming in for regular tutoring and got her grade up to an A- by the end of the year. When i was grading the finals I was looking at a few scores in particular and I saw that she got the highest score out of both my classes! At that moment I was so proud of her but it was just too bad that I could not congratulate her on her accomplishments as the school year had already ended. Just knowing how much I helped her get to his made me feel good about teaching and what I did this year.
